 "Recover with Confidence"

"Recover with Confidence" is a wonderful new national program decicated to helping women who are experiencing medically induced hair loss due to their chemotherapy or radiation treatment, as well as all forms of alopecia, and trichotillomania. This program is very special to us, and we are passionate about providing a safe, private, comfortable environment with caring and knowledgeable professionals along with a quality product.

For some women, thoughts of losing their hair can be as devastating as the cancer itself. They're scare of the cancer, to begin with; the thought of hair loss, particularly the attention that it draws, is another seemingly impossible obstacle to deal with.

The problem most women have is that they don't know who to turn to for assistance even though they're aware of their alternatives: Do I wear a scarf or a hat? Do I get a wig? Where do I go? Caregivers in the medical profession generally aren't equipped to supply such information. So who is?

Across the United States professional hair loss specialists have joined together - "Recover with Confidence" is the result. This program enables us to partner with the medical community for the much needed part of the patient's personal desire to have their life continue as normal as possbile. Their confidence in themselves helps with their emotional well-being, as well as their family's and friend's well-being. "Recover with Confidence" assures patients that there are many who care.

Visit Us Before Your Hair Loss Begins.

Most women do not experience hair loss until after their second chemotherapy treatment, but some will start to lose their hair as soon as seven days after the first treatment. Hair loss occurs because hair follicles are weakened by chemotherapy, causing hair to fall out at a much faster rate than normal.

We would like to see you before your first treatment so we can recreate your natural hair color and style.

How Long Before My Hair Grows Back?

In almost all cases, once chemotherapy has ended, your hair will generally regain strength and completely grow back within six months to one year. Therefore, most women continue to wear a wig or hair prosthesis for several months after their chemotherapy treatments have ended.

Are Women's Wigs Uncomfortable?

Not all wigs are created equal. If you choose to replace your hair, you'll be happy to know that hot, itchy, fake looking wigs are a thing of the past. The latest technologies have made both human hair wigs and synthetic wigs appear highly realistic because they can be fitted to the shape of your head. Medical grade wigs and hair prothesis units weigh about two ounces and are extremely comfortable. The caps are non-irritating to sensitive scalps.
