Hi, I just wanted to let you know how wonderful your salon is. Cheryl was so kind and helpful. I am dealing with lymphoma and losing my hair was so hard. I am a red head and my entire identity has been wrapped up with my red hair. Cheryl helped me find the perfect cyber hair and color. Working in a professional setting. I didn't want to have a different look every month. My cyber hair is perfect! I look put together and nobody can even tell it isn't my natural hair. It is fool proof,too. I take good care of it and literally plop it on every day. It is so simple. I LOVE IT!

My brother and I brought our mother in this afternoon to try on wigs. She's been thinking and talking about this non-stop for months. She tried some on at another shop two months ago and found absolutely nothing to her liking. We had no hope for today as well, but she was obsessed with looking at wigs! It's tough getting old and bald, right? Well, mom was pretty cranky, and Virginia, you were an absolute angel! You really knew what to do and how to present the wigs. I learned that I had alopecia areata in 1967. Within two years this progressed to alopecia universalis or complete loss of all body hair. At first I was devastated. About a year later I met Twila Donley and have been one of her Fantasia clients ever since.
Today, I wear an Amy's Presence Cyber Hair wig. It gives me a great fit since the cap comes in half sizes. I can simply spray it with water when I want to change the style from more curl to less curl. The custom coloring gives me a completely natural look. I am so pleased with my new Cyber Wig! I had brain surgery
which left me with a partially shaved head plus my hair was thinning on top. The Cyber Hair is just wonderful! The cut is so cute and up to date and the color is beautiful! There is simply no way to overestimate the importance of Twila Donley (Fantasia) in my life. For the first few years after losing my hair to Alopecia Areata, I bought wigs from many different sources. I tried ready made wigs, custom made wigs, wigs made of synthetic fiber, human hair wigs, but the results were always the same--major disappointment for me. I HATED to appear in public and I was always uncomfortably conscious of my hair. Then, through the Alopecia grapevine, I heard about Twila at Fantasia.
The first impression I had of Twila was her kindness and personal warmth. She made me feel as though I had come home, and all would now be well. And, all has been well. For many years Twila ordered, cut, styled my wigs and made sure I was completely happy with the outcome. She understands and respects my insecurity and fussiness about each new wig. Her calm professionalism soothes and encourages me. She is now helping me make the switch to grey hair--ours is a long history. I will never be glad that I have Alopecia, I will always wish for my own hair. But, I know I can depend on Twila (and the Fantasia Team) to help me look my very best, the very most "normal" that is possible for me. |

How devastating to be diagnosed with breast cancer but how wonderful to have Twila Donley at my side playing a significant role in helping me through this most difficult time in my life.
My treatment plan included both chemotherapy and radiation, and, of course, the chemo caused the loss of my hair. This was quite traumatic for me - more so, even, than my surgery and the other physical side-effects of the chemo. When I looked in the mirror, a stranger stared back at me - an extremely unattractive stranger whom I didn't like at all. I was no longer me. I had lost my identity. Twila, however, helped me avert what could have been a true crisis of spirit. She not only outfitted me with a wonderful wardrobe of wigs and hats, but she also instilled in me her indomitable enthusiasm, optimism and joy for life. She has an incredible way of helping a woman see that she CAN be attractive physically despite the loss of hair but also that a spirited, optimistic attitude can make a woman FEEL attractive to herself and to others. Twila started working with me before I lost my hair so that she could order for me a full wig and set of halo bangs that would match my natural hair color. This timing also allowed her to see my usual hair style which she duplicated in the wig so perfectly that it was almost uncanny. Twila has also offered advice on how to care for the wig, care for my scalp and care for "me". She has made several adjustments to the wig at no charge, and has continued to buoy my spirits whenever she sees me. She is ALWAYS there for her clients. Now, when I look in the morrow, I see the old familiar me. I not only like what I see, but I like who I am. Twila Donley is a rare gem! |
